Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido by master printmaker Utagawa (Andō) Hiroshige is among the most celebrated works of Japanese art. This will be the first time in 25 years that the entire series from CMOA’s first Hōeidō edition prints has been on view at the museum.

Read our press release for more information.

Please browse the images below, and click to enlarge and download. Along with the 53 first Hōeidō edition prints, we’re showing different impressions, as well as later editions, demonstrating Hiroshige’s evolving approaches to perspective and scale.
